Women's Soccer

Sept. 3, 2003

The University of Kentucky women’s soccer team entered a top-25 national poll for the first time since September of 2002, taking the No. 24 spot in the latest SoccerBuzz.com rankings. The Cats also made a move in the Great Lakes region rankings, jumping four spots from six to two, trailing only Notre Dame for the top spot in the region.

Kentucky’s appearance in the rankings comes on the heels of two strong performances during Labor Day weekend against Davidson and Western Kentucky. This weekend, the Cats take on top-ranked North Carolina and eighth-ranked Duke.
