LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky seniors Sissy Canfield and Liz McCaslin were named to the Wake Forest Demon Deacon Invitational All-Tournament team this past weekend after leading their team to a second-place finish with a 2-1 record to open the season.

Canfield, a middle blocker from Blue Springs, Mo., averaged 3.33 kills per game on the weekend, while hitting .350 for the three games. Her best performance came against Southern Methodist on Saturday, when she recorded 19 kills, four digs and three block solos, while hitting .351. Canfield accounted for 48.0 total points for the Wildcats over the two days.

McCaslin, an outside hitter from Libertyville, Ill., had a solid weekend, totaling 25 kills and 24 digs in three starts. Against SMU, McCaslin had 13 digs. She returned later in the afternoon to grab 12 kills and nine digs on .344 hitting against Tennessee Tech.

The Wildcats return to action on Friday, Sept. 5 against Western Illinois in the opening match of the Cyclone Challenge in Ames, Iowa.
