Lexington, Ky. –

The first game between the University of Kentucky baseball team and the Georgia Bulldogs (21-20, 4-14 Southeastern Conference) has been postponed until tomorrow night due to inclement weather in the Bluegrass. The contest, which was suspended in the bottom of the second inning with the Cats up, 1-0, will resume Saturday afternoon at approximately 12:30 p.m. EST, with Saturday’s originally scheduled game being played as the second game of a double header, beginning at 4 p.m., as scheduled.

The Cats (16-22, 4-13 SEC) crossed a run in the second, as Caleb Brock led off with a stand up double to left center field. Jake Kungl’s sacrifice bunt advanced Brock to third, and Russ Rutherford drove in his 12th run of the year with a sacrifice fly to center that scored Brock and put the Cats on top. Play was suspended in the third after Casey Gilvin singled to right for UK’s second hit of the game.

Game two on Saturday can be heard on 96.1 FM as well as on the internet, at www.ukathletics.com.
