Kentucky (12-18, 1-10 SEC) and Mississippi State (24-5-1, 9-2 SEC) were rained out in what would have been the rubber match of a three-game weekend series between the two on Sunday, April 6. No makeup date is scheduled. The two teams split the first two games of the series with State taking the Friday night contest, 8-1, and Kentucky coming back to win Saturday afternoon’s matchup, 8-2, and earn its first Southeastern Conference win of the year.
The Bat Cats are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, April 8, as they play host to Wright State University at 6 p.m. EST at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
