The University of Kentucky women’s gymnastics team will take part in the 23rd-annual Southeastern Conference Gymnastics Championship on Saturday, March 29, at 7 p.m. EST in Bartow Arena on the campus of the University of Alabama-Birmingham. The event will include five of the top-20 teams in the nation – No. 4 Georgia, No. 5 Alabama, No. 8 Florida, No. 12 LSU and No. 16 Auburn – as well as Kentucky and first-year squad Arkansas.

Kentucky is looking to end its 2003 campaign on a high note, but a number of GymKats will look to qualify to the NCAA Regional Championship, to be held during the second weekend of April. For UK, three all-arounders will be making their final push for Regionals, including senior Julia Gore, junior Aronda Primault and sophomore Michelle Gales. On vault, senior Melanie Zaharias is in contention to qualify.
