The Kentucky baseball team (8-14, 0-6 SEC) will play host to the Kent State Golden Flashes (7-9, 0-0 MAC) on Tuesday, March 25th and Wednesday, March 26th in a two game series. The Bat Cats look to rebound from a weekend sweep at the hands of the Auburn Tigers (22-5, 5-1 SEC). Auburn beat the Cats by scores of 14-10, 10-3 and 10-3. The Golden Flashes were also swept over the weekend, with three losses to Oral Roberts. Kent State comes to Lexington on a four-game losing streak. The Golden Flashes last won on March 16th when they defeated then No. 1 Georgia Tech, 5-3, to salvage the third game of a three-game series.
Kentucky holds a 2-1 advantage in the all-time series with Kent State. The Bat Cats took two games from the Golden Flashes back in the 2001 season, winning 6-2 and 4-2. The Cats will send Scott Wade (0-3) to the mound on Tuesday. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. EST at Cliff Hagan Stadium on the UK campus.
