NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Utah forward Britton Johnsen won’t get another chance to play against Kentucky.

Johnsen was on the Utes squad that lost the 1998 title game 78-69 to Kentucky, but he will remain on the bench Sunday when the teams meet in the NCAA tournament for the first time since that game.

The senior has been sidelined for the past four games because of infectious mononucleosis. His fever is gone, but Dr. Dave Petron found Wednesday that Johnsen still had an enlarged spleen.

Johnsen was re-examined by the team doctor Saturday but not cleared to return for the second round of the Midwest Regional against the top-seeded Wildcats.
