The University of Kentucky women’s golf team stands in fifth place after two rounds in the 17-team Dr. Donnis Thompson Rainbow Wahine Golf Invitational in Kaneohe, Hawaii.

Senior Rachel Lester, in 15th place, leads Kentucky with one round remaining after carding rounds of 77 and 76 to finish at nine-over par on the day. Fellow senior Kelly Anders is close behind in 17th after shooting 10-over par.

Sophomore Lauren George is tied for 29th after finishing at 14-over par after two rounds and junior Eva Gessner stands in a tie for 36th after finishing at 17-over on the day.

The final 18 holes will be played Wednesday beginning at 7:30 a.m. HST at the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course.
