Auburn, Ala. – Kentucky senior All-American diver Clayton Moss had one goal when he went NCAA Zone B qualifying at Auburn’s James E. Martin Aquatics Center, qualify for each NCAA Championship event he participates in. On Sunday, March 16 he achieved that goal finishing second in the qualifying finals of the men’s platform event. Moss (538.00) finished behind Auburn’s Ceasar Garcia (614.35) who was the Southeastern Conference Platform Champion. Moss was selected to each of the last three All-America Platform Teams.
On the women’s side, freshman Jessica Thompson (383.95) finished in seventh place, junior Michelle Brown (344.95) finished 11th and senior Kelli Frost (339.05) finished 12th. Only the top-five finishers in each event qualify for the NCAA Championship meet.
The Men’s NCAA Swimming and Diving Competition will be held March 27-29 in Austin, Texas.
