The University of Kentucky women’s golf team stands in 15th place after the second day of the 16-team SunTrust Lady Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla. After inclement weather washed out most of Sunday’s first round, opening round play resumed this morning followed by the second of three scheduled rounds.

Eva Gessner leads the Cats after two rounds by carding a 77 in the opening round followed by a four-over par 74 in the second round.

Kentucky will begin its final round of the Lady Gator Invitational at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
