The 18th-ranked Kentucky women’s tennis team will try to win its eighth-consecutive match in Athens, Ga., when they take on the Georgia Lady Bulldogs at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on Sunday, March 2, at 1 p.m.
Kentucky (11-4, 1-0 SEC) heads to Athens riding a wave of confidence after a thrilling 4-3 victory over the Tennessee Lady Vols in its Southeastern Conference opener on Friday, Feb. 28. Georgia (6-1, 1-0 SEC) is fresh off a 4-3 win over No. 9 Vanderbilt.
Last year’s contest between the two teams ended in a 5-2 UGA victory. Historically Georgia leads the series with UK by a count of 18-7.
