The University of Kentucky rifle team will compete Sunday, February 9 in the NCAA Sectionals at Murray State University. The results of the three-day meet will determine whether Kentucky earns a berth in the NCAA Rifle Championships next month in West Point, N.Y. The NCAA will announce the championship participants Monday, February 24.

Kentucky Coach Harry Mullins says getting back to the NCAA Championships won’t be easy.

“We’re going to have to work really hard. In recent years, we’ve been able to separate ourselves, but so many other teams are getting a lot better. We’ll have to turn in a great performance,” Mullins said.
