LEXINGTON, Ky. –
National Championship Reunion Set

Kentucky will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 1978 National Championship this weekend, Jan. 17-18. All but two members of the title squad are scheduled to return to Lexington for the UK-Notre Dame game on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 2 p.m.

The team and staff will attend a private reception on Friday evening and a special breakfast with Coach Joe B. Hall on Saturday morning. The group will be signing autographs at the UK Basketball Museum from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday. The museum is located in the Lexington Civic Center, adjacent to Rupp Arena. The cost for autographs is $10 per item, which includes admission to the museum.

The group, including starters Jack Givens, Kyle Macy, Rick Robey, Mike Phillips and Truman Claytor, will be honored at halftime of the Kentucky-Notre Dame game.

Final Bobble-head Released Saturday

Hands-On Originals will release the fourth and final “Legends Series Bobble-head” on Saturday, Jan. 18 at all Dawahare’s stores across Kentucky. The doll’s identity will be kept secret until Friday.

The first doll, Kyle Macy, was released for the Dec. 3 game against High Point. The second, Adolph Rupp, appeared on Dec. 14. The Tubby Smith bobble-head was released at the Dec. 21 Indiana game. Only 5,000 of each doll are being produced with 500 being distributed at the game Saturday.
