Milwaukee, Wis. – Kentucky seniors Leigh Bradwell and Jill Buckley continued their solid doubles play in the Milwaukee Classic Thursday with an 8-1 win over the Butler University pair of Alaina Griffin and Christina Laun. The open format of the tournament presents an unusual scenario as Bradwell and Buckley will take on Caitlin Burke and Kaylan Caiati, a duo representing Milwaukee’s Cedarburg and Greendale high schools, in the semifinals Friday afternoon.

In singles quarterfinal play, Buckley lost to California’s Catherine Lynch. After dropping the first set 6-2, Buckley fought back for a 6-3 win in the second set before dropping the final set, 6-1.
