University of Kentucky junior swimmer Joey Faltraco holds the third-fastest time in the country in the 400-yard IM (3:52.49), as well as the fourth-fastest time in both the 200 backstroke (1:44.23) and the 200 butterfly (1:47.21), according to the most recent times released by Taper and Shave magazine. The Union Mills, N.C., native also ranks 10th in the 200 IM (1:50.25) and 15th in the 100 backstroke (49.67).

UK freshman Steven Manley is fourth in the nation in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:37.91 and 17th in the 500 freestyle with a 4:28.63. UK’s 800 freestyle relay (6:42.90) has the sixth-fastest time nationally, while the Wildcats 400 medley relay stands in 11th place at 3:18.71.

For the UK women, sophomore Chrissy Miller holds the 12th-fastest time in the 500 freestyle in 4:49.01. Miller also has the 16th-best time in the 200 freestyle (1:49.62). The 800 freestyle relay team holds a time of 7:33.57, the 16th-fastest time in the country.

The swimming teams will be back in action this Saturday, Dec. 7, when they play host to the Missouri Tigers at the Lancaster Aquatic Center on the UK campus. Start time is slated for 1 p.m. and admission is free.
