The Summer Club Camp is a special opportunity to experience world class swimming in an exciting and motivating environment that is appropriately calibrated to help your club athletes improve with hands on coaching from UK coaches and your own club coaches. This is a comprehensive swim camp that will target the mental, physical, in-water and out-of-water experiences that help facilitate competitive swimming breakthroughs, all while having fun and meeting new friends!
In the morning sessions, your athlete will focus on training. These sessions are designed to provide campers with the tools to take their endurance and speed to the next level. Practice sessions will be conducted in the pool and will be led by the University of Kentucky coaching staff. Campers will quickly learn how to tap into their true potential in practice by experiencing some of the training philosophies used with today’s top swimmers. There will be multiple workout options to appropriately challenge your athlete based on his/her abilities.
The afternoon sessions will provide an opportunity for your athlete to learn what makes the world’s best swimmers so fast by understanding and practicing the fundamentals and skills that improve efficiency and increase speed. The University of Kentucky staff will help unlock the secrets to proper stroke mechanics giving participants an edge on their competition. Each camper will learn where his or her weaknesses lie, and how to turn those weaknesses into strengths in the pool.
In addition to these invaluable in-pool sessions, athletes will also experience dryland training, flexibility and mobility work and lectures covering: elite performance mindset, nutrition & recovery, race strategy and general discussion about college swimming and the recruiting process.
Refund Policy: Up until 7 days before camp, you can cancel for a refund of what you have paid. Within 7 days of camp there is a $100 cancellation fee for refund requests prior to 7 days before the start of camp. Cancellations less than 7 days will receive no refund, except in the case of injury or illness (must present a Doctor’s note).
