There will be numerous special events surrounding Saturday’s game against LSU, which will be Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Commonwealth Stadium.

Bring Canned Food Saturday, Win Free Men’s Basketball Tickets: Fans attending Saturday’s game against LSU will have a chance to win one of 500 free pairs of men’s basketball tickets by bringing canned food to the game or by making a donation.

The UK Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is sponsoring the food drive, which will be given to God’s Pantry. Each person bringing two cans of food or donating at least $1 will be able to register for the ticket giveaway. The SAAC, with representatives of nearly all 22 varsity sports programs, will be collecting food and money at Gates 1, 4, 9, and 12.

Alltel and Country Music Television to Have Interactive Areas: The Alltel Tent City and Country Music Television Trailer, both of which are fan-oriented interactive events, will be available for fans’ enjoyment before the game Saturday. The Alltel Tent City will be set up next to the stadium ticket booth. The site for the CMT Trailer has not been decided.

Veterans Day Recognized in Pregame Ceremonies: Veterans Day is Mon. Nov. 11 and will be recognized in pregame ceremonies. A veterans tribute will be shown on the DiamondVision video boards. In addition, in the five-minute window before the game, three Blackhawk helicopters will fly over the stadium.

Team Will Have “Cat Walk” at 10:20 a.m. as Wildcats Arrive at Gate 9: Fans are encouraged to meet the team Saturday when the Wildcats arrive at 10:20 a.m. at Gate 9. The players will make the “Cat Walk” from Gate 9 to their stadium entry point at Gate 12. Blue cat paws are painted along the “Cat Walk” route on the south side of the stadium and fans are encouraged to line up on the sidewalk and cheer the team as it enters the stadium.

The “Cat Walk” has been organized by the families of the players, a group named the Wildcat Football Family Association.

Child ID Kits Given Away After the Game: Kentucky football will be participating in the National Child Identification Program on Saturday.

Sponsored by the American Football Coaches Association, child ID kits will be given away after the game as fans exit Commonwealth Stadium. The clean, easy-to-use inkless fingerprinting kit allows you to take and store your child’s fingerprints in your own home.
