LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky volleyball team will break from Southeastern Conference play on Tuesday, Oct. 15 to play host to instate rival Louisville at 7 p.m. in Memorial Coliseum.

The Wildcats (7-9, 1-5 SEC) are coming off a tough week of league play, dropping home matches to South Carolina and Tennessee, and have now lost three straight matches. Its last win came Sept. 29 over Auburn in Lexington.

UK holds a 23-19 advantage in the series with the Cards, dating back to the 1977 season. However, Louisville has taken the last four meetings, dating back to the 1999 campaign. The teams played a home-and-away series each season, dating back to 1991, but only played one game last season. The match, originally scheduled for Sept. 11, was rescheduled for Thanksgiving Eve. The Cardinals won, 3-0.

Kentucky will break from conference play just once more this season, a Nov. 7 home match with Morehead State.
