Wildcats in the SEC Defensive Stats: Several Wildcats are featured in the Southeastern Conference defensive statistics released this week by the league office.Defensive end Vincent “Sweet Pea” Burns and safety David Johnson are tied for second in the SEC in fumble recoveries with two apiece. Burns also ranks second in the league in fumbles caused with two. Defensive end Otis Grigsby rates sixth in the SEC in quarterback hurries with eight.
Three UK defensive backs rank in the top 10 in pass breakups, including Quentus Cumby (fourth with six PBU), Derrick Tatum and Leonard Burress (seventh with five each).As a team, Kentucky is tied for the league lead in fumble recoveries with eight.
