The Kentucky men’s tennis team plays host to the Charles Fluitt Invitational this weekend, Sept. 27-29, at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex. Nine schools are bringing 47 players to participate.
UK will be represented by all seven players on the roster. Sophomore Jesse Witten (#1), junior Karim Benmansour (#36), sophomore Evan Austin (#65), junior Matt Emery and junior Rahim Esmail will play in the Ranked Flight. Senior Elliott Datlow will be in the Flight ‘A’ bracket while newcomer Alex Hume will play in the Flight ‘B’ bracket.
The Ranked Flight will feature 13 players ranked in the top 70 in the ITA Preseason Rankings. Witten is joined by other top 10 players Bobby Reynolds (#9) from Vanderbilt and Daniel Klemetz (#10) from Middle Tennessee.
Matches will begin at 9 a.m. ET on Friday at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex. Inclement weather may force play to the indoor facility.
