The baseball game between the University of Kentucky (14-28) and the University of Cincinnati (20-22-1) was called after the second inning of play Wednesday night due to inclement weather in the Bluegrass.

Senior right-hander Jarrod Reynolds threw the first pitch of the 76th meeting between UK and UC at 6:02 p.m. ET and the game was halted at 6:25 p.m. ET due to severe lightning. The game was officially called shortly after 7 p.m. ET.

The Wildcats will next play at Arkansas on Friday, May 3 in the first of a three-game Southeastern Conference series at 7:30 p.m. ET. Pitching coach Greg Goff announced early this week that sophomore right-hander Cory Hahn will take the mound for UK in Friday’s series-opener.
