Athens, Ga. – The University of Kentucky women’s golf team finished the 2002 Southeastern Conference Championships in 12th place on Sunday, April 21, at the University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Ga.

The Lady Kats were led by junior Rachel Lester’s 16-over par performance. Lester’s three-day total of 232 was good enough to land her in a tie for 35th place. Other UK finishes included Towa Okiyama in 37th place, Kelly Anders in 41st place, Lauren George in 55th place and Kristen Pepe in 56th place.

The SEC Championship concluded the Lady Kats’ season, which was the first for Head Coach Stephanie Martin.
