LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky track and field teams split squads this weekend, April 19-20, when it travels to the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif., and the Eastern Kentucky Classic in Richmond, Ky. The two meets are the first of five final regular-season meets for the Wildcats.

Among the group traveling to California is junior Janet Crawford, who took second place in the women’s high jump at last weekend’s Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville, Tenn. Also joining the group are All-American athletes Jeff Chakouian, James Doaty, Chad Johnson and Simidele Adeagbo.

The group heading south to Richmond, Ky., includes Matt Smothermon, who set the freshman school record in the high jump last year, and Demetrius Roberts, who finished in 13th in the 100 meters last weekend in Knoxville.
