Lexington, Ky. – The 15th-ranked University of Kentucky women’s tennis team (14-6) is poised to step out of Southeastern Conference play to take on the 36th-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes on Wednesday, April 10. UK will take on its border rival in an annual matchup that has seen the Cats take the last two contests over the Buckeyes by a score of 4-3.
“Ohio State has a good program and they always give a good effort,” Coach Mark Guilbeau said. “It will be nice to get another nonconference match under our belt. This match could prove to be a big confidence booster going into this weekend when we face No. 6 Vanderbilt.”
The match is slated to begin at 2 p.m. at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex on the UK campus. Admission is free.
