Athens, Ga. – The University of Kentucky women’s golf team finished in 17th-place at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic in Athens, Ga., on Sunday, Mar. 24 after a three-round score of 952. The Lady Kats finished up strong on the final day of competition by firing a team score of 304.

Senior Towa Okiyama led the way for the Lady Kats by closing out the tournament with an 8-over par performance. Her score of 224 was good enough to land her in 16th place. Other UK scorers included Rachel Lester with a 234, Kelly Anders with a 248, Lauren George with a 249 and Eva Gessner with a 259.

The Lady Kats will be back in action Apr. 5-7 when they travel to Winston-Salem, N.C., to participate in the Bryan Park Invitational hosted by Wake Forest University.
