AUSTIN, Texas – University of Kentucky freshman Trisha Tumlinson closed out her three-day stay at the 2002 Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships by capturing 13th-place in the platform competition as action was completed on Saturday, March 23 on the University of Texas campus.

Tumlinson, who had placed fourth on the platform at the 2002 Southeaster Conference Championships held in Fayetteville, Ark., scored a 374.45, marking her highest finish of the weekend. She missed a top-eight finish by 38.15 points.

Overall, Tumlinson placed higher each day that she competed. She opened the competition with a 31st-place finish on the one-meter on Thursday. She followed that up with a 27th-place finish on the three-meter on Friday before catapulting to the 13th-place finish on Saturday.
