AUSTIN, Texas – University of Kentucky freshman Trisha Tumlinson placed 27th in the three-meter springboard competition as she completed her second day of competition at the 2002 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships held on the University of Texas campus on Friday, March 22.

Tumlinson scored a 262.60 in the preliminary round, missing a top-16 by 18.9 points. On Thursday, she had placed 31st in the one-meter diving competition.

Tumlinson will close out her first NCAA competition on Saturday with the platform competition, her strongest of the three boards. At the 2002 Southeastern Conference Championships, she scored a 387.35 to place fourth. The entire action can by followed live by logging onto the Internet and going to www.TexasSports.com.
