The University of Kentucky women’s golf team opened action in the Lady Gamecock Classic in Blythewood, S.C. on Friday, March 15. The Wildcats are tied in 12th-place with the University of North Carolina with a 311.

Senior Towa Okiyama leads the Cats after 18 holes with a one-over par 73 tied in 12th-place with six other golfers. Junior Rachel Lester is not far behind Okiyama with a 75 in 26th-place. Other UK scores are Kelly Anders with a 79, Eva Gessner with an 84 and Stacy Springer with an 85.

The Wildcats continue action with another round of 18 holes on Saturday, March 16 and will finish the tournament on Sunday, March 17.
