The University of Kentucky diving team completed the first day of the Zone B Qualifying Meet today competing in the women’s 1-meter and the men’s 3-meter.
Junior Clayton Moss (540.10) placed fifth in the 3-meter, guaranteeing a trip for him to the NCAA Championships, which will be held March 28-30 at the University of Georgia. Senior Aaron Kirkpatrick (527.35) finished ninth and freshman John Collier finished 31st.
For the women, junior Kelly Frost (244.90) and freshman Trisha Tumlinson (242.75) finished 17th and 18th, respectively, in the 38 person field while freshman Alison Riccobono was 23rd (224.05).
The top five divers in each of the two events will go on to the NCAA Championships.
