The University of Kentucky men’s golf team opened up action in the Seminole Intercollegiate on Monday, March 11 in Tallahassee, Fla. The Cats stand in fifth-place after finishing with a six over par, 294, just eight strokes behind the University of North Carolina in first place.

Freshman Jack Hudson led UK with an impressive performance in his early career as a Wildcat with an opening round score of 71. Hudson finished the day in a tie for fifth place. Fellow freshman, John Holmes is one stroke behind Hudson at 72 and in a tie for tenth place. Other Wildcat scores include Andy Dustman at 74, Ryan Coyne at 77 and Philip Schardein at 80.

The tournament concludes on Tuesday, March 12 with the final round of action taking place at the Golden Eagle Country Club.
