LEXINGTON, Ky. – Eight University of Kentucky track and field athletes will compete this weekend, March 8-9, at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. The group will compete in six different events at the national championship.

Sophomore Hunter Spencer will join Thomas Morgan, Chad Johnson and Paul Ciurlys as part of the men’s distance medley relay team. Spencer will also compete in the mile run. Johnson will join David Freeman in the men’s 800 meters, while sophomore Jeff Chakouian will compete for the shot put title.

Representing the women is freshman Beth Heimann, who will run in the 800 meters, and junior Simidele Adeagbo, who competes in the triple jump for UK.

The Championships get underway on Friday with the women’s weight throw at 1 p.m. ET. Action continues on Saturday with the men’s weight throw at 3 p.m. ET.
