Gainesville, Fla. – The University of Kentucky women’s golf team finished ninth out of 15 teams at the Lady Gator Invitational on Sunday, Feb. 24 in Gainesville, Fla. The squad finished only 39 strokes back of the Florida Gators for the three-day tournament and finished up strong on Sunday with a team score of 308.
Junior Kelly Anders finished out the weekend in tenth place with her impressive three-round total of 224. Other UK scores included senior Towa Okiyama with a 230, freshman Stacy Springer with a 245, freshman Lauren George with a 246 and senior Kristen Pepe with a 252.
The Lady Kats will be back in action on Mar. 15-17 when they travel to Columbia, S.C., for the Lady Gamecock Invitational.
