The 16th-ranked University of Kentucky women’s tennis team (8-1) will face its toughest test of the season on Saturday, Feb. 23, when the 10th-ranked North Carolina Tarheels travel to Lexington for a battle on the hard courts. Action will take place at 1 p.m. at the Hilary J. Boone Indoor Tennis Center on the UK campus.

Along with its top-10 ranking, North Carolina brings a 6-1 record. The Cats/Heels dual match will boast seven nationally ranked singles competitors and five highly ranked doubles teams, including the Wildcats’ top duo and the nation’s third-ranked pair, Carolina Mayorga and Sarah Witten.

North Carolina took last season’s meeting between the two teams in Chapel Hill, N.C. The Cats, who continue to climb the national rankings, will look to chart their fifth victory over ranked opponents this season.
