Lexington, Ky. – The Kentucky women’s basketball team looks to snap its two-game losing streak and capture its first win in Fayetteville, Ark., when it faces the Lady Razorbacks of Arkansas on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 8 p.m. ET at the Bud Walton Arena. The game will be broadcast live on WLXG-AM Sports Radio 1300 with announcer Chris Cross.
Arkansas leads the all-time series against Kentucky 9-6 and is a perfect 6-0 against the Cats in Fayetteville. The Lady ‘Backs have won four of the last five meetings, including both games last season. UK’s last win over Arkansas came on Jan. 16, 2000 in Lexington, 68-60.
“We have been working on keeping our intensity the entire 40 minutes,” UK Coach Bernadette Mattox said. “We’ve had a few games slip away because we had lapses where we let down our intensity. We will be a tough team to beat if we play consistently the entire game. Arkansas is a hard team to play on the road and we will have to limit our mistakes.”

She had team-highs of 14 and 18 points versus Vandy and Auburn, respectively, and leads UK in scoring (17.3) and rebounding (6.8). Senior forward LaTonya McDole is the team’s third-leading scorer with 9.1 points per game and is the second leading rebounder with 6.4 rpg.
Arkansas is 9-6 overall, 0-3 in the Southeastern Conference after falling to Ole Miss (81-46), Alabama (84-70) and No. 9 South Carolina (91-66) last week.
