Key runs: UK opened the game with a 35-11 spurt. In the second half, after the Rebels whittled away the lead to 47-36, the Wildcats went on a 9-0 run for a 56-36 lead and were never seriously threatened again.
Kentucky scored 87 points against an Ole Miss team that was allowing just 62.9 per game coming in.
It was a very physical game tonight, with UK committing a season-high 26 fouls. The teams combined for 47 fouls, tying the season high of 47 in the UK-Duke overtime game.
UK shot 52.6 percent from the field and the Wildcats are 5-1 this season when shooting 50 percent or better.
Senior forward Tayshaun Prince scored a game-high 19 points. He now has 1,480 points in his career, moving past Johnny Cox (1,461), Pat Riley (1,464), and Cliff Hagan (1,475) for 14th place on the UK career scoring list.

Junior forward-center Jules Camara had five blocked shots, tying his career high.
Sophomore guard Gerald Fitch had 13 points and 11 rebounds, his second double-double of the season and third of his career. Fitch set career highs with six field goals made and 11 attempts and tied his career best with 11 boards.
Kentucky plays its final regular-season non-conference game Saturday at noon at Notre Dame. The game will be televised by CBS.
