GREENVILLE, S.C. – Several University of Kentucky cross country runners performed well on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the NCAA Southeast Regional in Greenville, S.C. Thomas Morgan led Kentucky’s four individual men’s runners with a time of 31:03 in the 10k race, placing him 19th and earning the sophomore All-Region honors.

Kentucky’s other three men’s performers all finished in the top 60, with sophomore Hunter Spencer taking 31st with a time of 31:32. Jack Morgan was close behind in 38th with a time of 31:45, while Kevin Panke rounded out the roster in 58th with a time of 32:21.

Caitlin Phillips was the only Wildcat in the 6k women’s race, and she finished with a time of 22:51 for 48th place. North Carolina State finished first in both the men’s and women’s team competition, earning them bids to the NCAA Championships. North Carolina also earned a bid for the women as the second place finisher, while William & Mary got the bid for the men.

The race closes out the cross country season for the Wildcats as they turn their attention toward the indoor track & field season, which gets underway on Friday, Dec. 7 at the Wildcat Speed Meet in Lexington, Ky.
