The University of Kentucky women’s golf team dropped one spot to third place during the second round of the Alabama Capstone Intercollegiate on Saturday, Oct. 27. The Lady Kats are five shots out of second place and thirteen shots behind leading Tennessee.
Senior Towa Okiyama continued her impressive play by delivering a round of 79 on Saturday. The Tammuning, Guam, native is currently in a tie for sixth place, just six shots of the pace set by Alabama’s Sarah Johnston and Tennessee’s Mary Jan Fernandez.
The tournament will conclude on Sunday, Oct. 28, with the final round beginning at 8 a.m.
