– STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. — The University of Kentucky men’s tennis team’s only freshman, Jesse Witten, advanced to the quarterfinals of the Intercollegiate Tennis Associations All-American Championship on Friday, Oct. 12.

Witten dropped a tough opening set against Andy Leber of Texas Arlington, before comig back in the second set to knot the contest at a set a piece. Witten then battled in the third set to defeat Leber 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 and claimed his spot in the quarterfinals.

Witten will next see action against Amer Delic of Illinois. The first match is set to begin at 9 a.m. at the Lincoln Tennis Center.
