– LOS ANGELES, Cal.-The University of Kentucky women’s tennis doubles team of Carolina Mayorga and Sarah Witten was eliminated from the Intercollegiate Tennis Associations All-American Championship on Thursday, October 11, after the first round of action.

Mayorga and Witten were overpowered by Oklahoma State’s duo of Linda Faltynova and Katarzyna Kolodyska dropping the match, 8-4. In singles action, Mayorga dropped her first round match against Mariel Verban of Georgia in two sets, 6-2, 6-1.

The Wildcats return to action on the fall schedule Oct. 19-21 at the Vanderbilt University Fall Tournament in Nashville, Tenn.
