LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky freshman forward Kathy Fulk has been named to theSoccer America College Women Team of the Week for the second week of thecollegiate soccer season, Sept. 3-9. It is Fulk’s first time and the firstWildcat of the 2001 season to earn the honor.
“It’s good that our team is being recognized nationally,” Fulk said. “Thishonor is just as much my teammates’ as it is mine. We work and battletogether as a team out there and I just take what they create for me.”
Being tabbed UK’s “Attack Kat,” Fulk scored the game-tying goal in a 2-1victory at Michigan on Friday, Sept. 7 and dented the net twice on Sunday,Sept. 9 to lead the Wildcats to a 6-0 win at Michigan State. Fulkcurrently leads Kentucky and ranks second in the Southeastern Conference ingoals scored with four in four games played.
