LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the first time, two of the top college basketball coaches in the country will compete off the court for the benefit of children in their communities. Kentucky Coach Tubby Smith and Cincinnati Coach Bob Huggins, along with loyal Wildcat and Bearcat fans, will square off on the links at Belterra Golf Club in Belterra, Ind. on Wed., Sept. 5.

The format for this unique event will consist of two UK golfers against two UC golfers in a two-man scramble. The combined scores will determine the winner of the “Huggy-Tubby Classic.” The winning team will have the honor of displaying the coveted “Hug Tub Jug” at their respective university on a yearly basis.

All proceeds from this event will be divided equally between “The Tubby Smith Foundation” and “The Athletes Reaching Out Foundation,” which benefit children’s causes in their respective communities. A limited number of spots are still available at a cost of $625 per person. If interested, please contact Mike Marnhout locally at 859-277-BLUE or toll-free at 800-404-8838.
