Senior wide receiver Dougie Allen and senior linebacker Ronnie Riley have been elected team captains for the 2001 season, Coach Guy Morriss announced.

“Dougie and Ronnie were elected by the players,” Morriss said. “The captains have to be people who the kids feel good about and have demonstrated good leadership. I think the players did a very good job of picking two good ones to represent them. Dougie and Ronnie will be permanent captains and we will add two game captains each week.”
