KNOXVILLE, Tenn. With four top five finishes andthree season bests, the University of Kentucky trackand field squads completed competition at the Sea RayRelays on Saturday, April 14.
The highest finish of the day came from the womensshuttle hurdle relay quartet of Jihan Trone, ElmettaJohnson, Michelle Williams and Temitayo Adeagbo, whichclaimed second place with a time of 56.78. In thewomens long jump, Shevan Threats gave the Catsanother top-five finish with her fourth-place mark of19-11.50 in the long jump.
Setting season bests for the womens team were OliviaReynolds 43-00.50 in the shot put and the 4×100-meterrelay team of Simidele Adeagbo, Demetrius Roberts,Threats and Williams (46.57).
On the mens side, Jeff Chakouian and the distancemedley relay team each claimed third-place finishes.Chakouian earned his finish in the invitationalsection of the shot put with a heave of 59-03.50,while the DMR quartet of David Freeman, PattonSegraves, James Doaty and Justin Amason crossed thefinish line in 9:43.59, which was the best time for UKin the outdoor season.
