The University of Kentucky men’s basketball team will play host to the “Wildcats Appreciation Night,” at Memorial Coliseumon Thursday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m.

The event will honor the 2001 Wildcats who finished 24-10, winning the Southeastern Conference Championship, the EasternDivision crown and the league’s postseason tournament. Highlights of the one-hour program will include the presentation of teamawards, highlight videos and an autograph session. USA Basketball also plans to make a special presentation to Coach Tubby Smithfor his participation as an assistant coach on the U.S.A. basketball team that captured the gold medal in Sydney last October.

Admission is free to the public and UK will offer free Pepsi and popcorn throughout the event. Doors open at 7 p.m. and thefirst 500 fans receive free T-shirts.
