Eight Kentucky Wildcats-seven men and one woman-earned All-America honors at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships held March 15-17 in Long Island, New York for the women and March 22-24 in College Station, Texas, for the men. Student-athletes finishing in the top eight are named All-Americans, while ninth through 16th finishers earn honorable mention All-America.
Diver Clayton Moss was named an All-American after finishing fourth in the one-meter event and received an honorable mention honors on the platform. Fellow diver Aaron Kirkpatrick was awarded honorable mention after his 12th-place performance on the three-meter.
The four Wildcat relays that competed at the NCAA Championship meet also were awarded honorable mention All-America honors. The 14th-finishing 200 freestyle relay was comprised of Shaun Zitani, Macon White, Roger Watkins, and Aaron Workman, who were named honorable mention All-Americans. The same relay members finished 13th in the 200 medley relay for another honorable mention All-America award. White, Zitani, and Workman combined with David Tweedie in the 800 freestyle relay to finish 13th for honorable mention All-America honors. The final relay was comprised of Zitani, White, Tweedie and Workman and garnered the honorable mention All-America accolades after finishing 15th.
Jaime Siegele was awarded honorable mention All-America honors following her performance in the 50 freestyle, in which she finished 11th at the NCAA Championship meet.
