The University of Kentucky baseball team will look to extend itsthree-game winning streak when it plays host to intra-state rival EasternKentucky on Wednesday, March 7, at 3 p.m., at Cliff Hagan Stadium.

UK (5-7) has won its last three games after starting the season 2-7. TheWildcats took both games from Kent State in last weekend’s home-openingseries. The Cats offense pounded out a season-high 14 hits in Saturday’scontest.

EKU (5-4) enters the contest having dropped four of its last five games.The Colonels fell in two close games to Bowling Green last weekend. Wednesday’s game will mark the Wildcats final game before beginningSoutheastern Conference action this weekend.

The Wildcats won their lone meeting with the Colonels last season, 13-5, inRichmond. UK leads the all-time series with EKU 60-24-1.
