The University of Kentucky rifle team will travel to Morgantown, W.Va., this weekend, Feb. 24-25, to compete in the Mid-AmericanRifle Conference Championships.

The Cats, who are riding high after finishing first at the NCAA Southeast Sectional on Feb. 10, are looking to grab the conferencetitle following a great season. Freshman Bradley Wheeldon has led the Cats for most of 2001, grabbing numerous individual titlesalong the way.

While all the sectional scores are not in, Kentucky looks to be in good position to qualify for the NCAA Championships on March10, in Columbus, Ohio. Its score of 6197 at the sectional was 43 points better than the closest competitor, Tennessee Tech.

Action gets underway Saturday at 8 a.m., and concludes Sunday afternoon.
