Memorial Coliseum will be action packed on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 2p.m., when the Kentucky women’s basketball team plays host to SouthCarolina and participates in the sixth annual Take A Kid To The Gameprogram sponsored by Regal By Buick and the NCAA.

The nationwide grassroots program is designed to encourageadults to take kids to a NCAA women’s basketball athletic event andexperience game-day at an affordable price. TAKG, which promotes thewomen’s game to the youth of America, allows kids under the age of 18to be admitted free when accompanied by an adult. UK employees withvalid faculty/staff identification will be also be admitted free. All otheradults are $5.

In addition to free admission, all kids can take place in interactiveactivities on the upper concourse in Memorial Coliseum starting at 1p.m. Various UK athletes will be available to sign autographs and kidsof all ages can have their picture made with Scratch, the official mascotof UK women’s basketball.

“The women’s basketball game is so exciting and competitive atKentucky and we invite everyone to come out and take advantage of the‘Take A Kid To The Game’ day on Sunday,” UK Coach BernadetteMattox said.

This year marks the sixth year of the Take A Kid To The Gameprogram and the third for Regal By Buick’s involvement.
