The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team suffered a setback on Tuesday, Feb.6, when they were defeated by the 11th-ranked Vanderbilt Commodores 7-0 inNashville, Tenn.

The loss marks the second consecutive road defeat for the Wildcats andevens their record at 2-2 on the season. The Commodores, who haveexploded out of the gate this season with an 8-0 record, also handed UK itsfirst Southeastern Conference loss.

UK will look to get back on the winning track this Friday, Feb. 9, when theMichigan Wolverines travel to Lexington to battle the Cats in the Hilary J.Indoor Tennis Center at 4 p.m.
