The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team begins dual match play with its homeopener on Friday, Jan. 26, at the Hilary J. Boone Indoor Tennis Center on the UK campus.

The Wildcats will take on the University of Louisville at 10 a.m. and the University ofCincinnati at 4 p.m.

We are excited to start dual match play, Coach Mark Guilbeau said. We are lookingforward to playing in front of our friends and family. We have been working really hard and itshould be a lot of fun.

The Cats are coming off an impressive performance at the UGA Invitational last weekend inAthens, Ga., where several players turned in stellar performances. Doubles team BrookeSkeen and Lauren Rookledge defeated several seeded opponents before walking awaywith the 2001 doubles title. Skeen also brought the singles consolation title back toLexington after bouncing back from an early loss to breeze through the consolation bracket.
